Suru Daniels is the current Head of Investment Banking at Coronation Merchant Bank Limited, and the current Secretary of Publicity at Association Issuing Houses of Nigeria.
Suru is a professional with over fourteen years’ experience gained from working with leading organizations in the Investment Banking, advertising and consultancy services in Nigeria. He is a graduate of Accounting from the Lagos State University, Ojo and has been a member of the Board of Advisors of the American Biographical Institute since 2004.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Mr. Daniels trained with the firm of Shofolawe Bakare & Co. where he gained invaluable experience in financial consulting and audit practice. He is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, UK.
He began his investment banking career with Spring Capital Markets Limited (now PanAfrican Capital Holdings) in 2008 and was responsible for leading key growth strategies of the firm that has resulted in its holding company status. In 2013, Suru joined the investment banking team at Greenwich Trust Limited and was the Group Head, Financial Advisory. While at Greenwich, he was seconded to serve as the Acting Managing Director of GTL Trustees Limited.
Suru works with a crop of young, ambitious and highly driven investment banking professionals focused on delivering bespoke but pragmatic solutions to clients across various economic segments across Africa. The broad sector outlook of the bank has enabled the team to position itself as a multi- disciplinary team with in-depth knowledge of key sectors of the Nigerian economy.
The team has received several local and international recognitions and awards as a leading firm in the investment banking sector in Nigeria.
